  • Crack withdrawal can be so intense that it puts users at extreme risk of suicide or overdose.
  • Ecstasy use has become popular among urban gay males who commonly use the drug as part of a multiple-drug experience that includes marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, ketamine, sildenafil (Viagra), and other legal and illegal substances.
  • Chronic use of Ecstasy can cause significant damage to certain areas of the brain which can affect memory and cognition.
  • Individuals who are dependent to Xanax often no longer take it for anxiety but take it for the withdrawal symptoms that are caused if they stop taking the medication.
  • As with all opiate drugs, there is a high potential for abuse with fentanyl and so it is a Schedule II narcotic drug which is only available by prescription.

Dui/Dwi Offender Programs

DUI/DWI offenders are typically required to participate in a specific number of hours either in counseling, meetings or a drug or alcohol treatment program. Each state has its own requirements when it comes to sentencing for the DUI/DWI offender. Offenders who are deemed low to moderate DUI/DWI offenders will typically be required to participate in some form of group counseling or therapy. These are sometimes referred to as "Level I & Level II Alcohol Classes". These group meetings are typically held by a professional in the field of addiction recovery or a person with long-term sobriety involved in the Alcoholics or Narcotics Anonymous groups. DUI/DWI offenders considered to be serious offenders will likely have to serve jail time at a minimum before beginning their assigned counseling or substance abuse rehabilitation program.
