  • Drug Overdose Facts
  • Drug overdose deaths are medico-legal cases investigated by medical examiners or coroners. Although medical examiner charts are recognized as a key source of information for monitoring such deaths, the accuracy of official statistics on drug mortality remains uncertain.
  • The risk of a drug overdose is always greater when using illicit street drugs, because the user can never be sure how strong the drug is that they are taking; ultimately, this can lead to serious, or even fatal consequences.
  • An OxyContin can be crushed then ingested, or injected, inhaled or placed inside the rectal cavity to experience a significant high.
  • About 60% of women in the United States have at least one alcoholic drink a year.
  • For some, there is an additional period of time (2-6 hrs) after a magic mushroom trip where it is difficult to go to sleep and a noticeable difference from everyday reality which is not strong enough to be considered tripping.

Dui/Dwi Offender Programs

DUI/DWI offenders are typically required to enroll in a certain number of hours either in counseling, meetings or a drug or alcohol treatment program. Each state has its own requirements when it comes to sentencing for the DUI/DWI offender. Offenders who are regarded as low to moderate DUI/DWI offenders will typically be required to participate in some form of group counseling or therapy. These are sometimes referred to as "Level I & Level II Alcohol Classes". These meetings are usually held by a professional in the field of addiction recovery or a person with long-term sobriety involved in the Alcoholics or Narcotics Anonymous groups. DUI/DWI offenders deemed to be serious offenders will likely have to serve jail time at a minimum before beginning their assigned counseling or substance abuse treatment program.
