  • Drug Overdose Facts
  • Individuals who dont feel well before using hashish may experience a further deterioration and worsening of the negative mood.
  • Many people who survive an overdose could possibly have to undergo some type of ongoing medical care for the rest of their lives.
  • The shift in the types of drugs that are reported to be responsible for the large majority of drug overdoses has also changed the demographics of those individuals that are dying from overdoses.
  • Researchers have reported that in order for a person to consume enough marijuana to experience a fatal overdose, they would have to consume almost 40,000 times the amount of THC (the active ingredient in marijuana) required to intoxicate them. For example, if it took an individual 10 hits to become intoxicated, it would take 400,000 hits of marijuana to produce a fatal overdose.
  • Anabolic steroids can be administered as gels or creams that are rubbed into the skin.

Outpatient Treatment

Drug or alcohol rehabilitation services which are provided on an outpatient basis are available to addicted people who have circumstances which prevent them from being able to participate in an inpatient treatment facility. An outpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation program offers many of the same services as an inpatient program, but allows for flexibility as opposed to an inpatient drug or alcohol treatment facility where the person is required to remain at the rehab facility until treatment has been fully completed. Outpatient drug or alcohol rehabilitation is also available for individuals who have already gone through residential or inpatient treatment but require a thorough aftercare and relapse prevention program which will provide additional support and therapy to help them remain clean and sober.
