  • Drug Overdose Facts
  • GHB is commonly used as a club drug and at "raves", which are teen aged dance parties.
  • The shift in the types of drugs that are reported to be responsible for the large majority of drug overdoses has also changed the demographics of those individuals that are dying from overdoses.
  • GHB rape cases are nearly impossible to prosecute primarily because victims have very little memory of what actually took place after they knowingly or unknowingly ingested the substance.
  • Ending methadone treatment is much more difficult than other opiates due to the severity of the related withdrawal symptoms.
  • A 28-day in-patient private drug rehab may cost $14,000, while other more long-term drug rehabs can cost around $20,000 for 6 months to a year.

Dui/Dwi Offender Programs

DUI/DWI offenders are typically required to participate in a specific number of hours either in counseling, meetings or a drug or alcohol treatment program. Each state has its own requirements when it comes to sentencing for the DUI/DWI offender. Offenders who are regarded as low to moderate DUI/DWI offenders will typically engage in some form of group counseling or therapy. These are sometimes referred to as "Level I & Level II Alcohol Classes". These group meetings are typically held by a professional in the field of addiction recovery or a person with long-term sobriety involved in the Alcoholics or Narcotics Anonymous groups. DUI/DWI offenders considered to be serious offenders will likely have to serve jail time at a minimum before beginning their mandatory counseling or alcohol rehabilitation program.
