  • Drug Overdose Facts
  • An Ecstasy overdose happens when you consume more Ecstasy than your body can safely handle. Ecstasy users are constantly flirting with drug overdose, and the difference between the high they're seeking and serious injury or death is often quite small.
  • Although activated charcoal administration was once considered a mainstay of treatment for patients who have experienced an acute overdose, recent studies have indicated that there is very little in the way of benefits that are derived from it.
  • Ecstasy ranked 7th out of all illicit drugs of abuse which presented in emergency departments in the U.S. in 2008.
  • Counselors at drug rehabs must monitor drug use continuously during treatment, due to that fact that relapses are common but preventable.
  • GHB is sometimes used to enhance the euphoric and sedative effects of alcohol.

Dui/Dwi Offender Programs

DUI/DWI offenders are typically required to attend a certain number of hours either in counseling, meetings or a substance abuse treatment program. Each state has its own requirements when it comes to sentencing for the DUI/DWI offender. Offenders who are deemed low to moderate DUI/DWI offenders will typically engage in some form of group counseling or therapy. These are sometimes referred to as "Level I & Level II Alcohol Classes". These meetings are usually held by a professional in the field of addiction recovery or a person with long-term sobriety involved in the Alcoholics or Narcotics Anonymous groups. DUI/DWI offenders deemed to be serious offenders will likely have to serve jail time at a minimum before beginning their assigned counseling or substance abuse rehab program.
