  • During the 1960s PCP was widely abused until users became unhappy with the long delay between taking the drug and feeling its effects, and with the unpredictable and often violent behavior which often occurred with its use.

Outpatient Treatment

Drug or alcohol rehab programs which are delivered on an outpatient basis are readily available to addicted people who have circumstances which prevent them from being able to take part in an inpatient rehabilitation center. An outpatient substance abuse rehab program delivers many of the same services as an inpatient program, but allows for flexibility as opposed to an inpatient drug treatment center where the person is expected to remain at the rehabilitation center until treatment has been fully completed. Outpatient drug treatment is also available for individuals who have already gone through residential or inpatient treatment but require a comprehensive aftercare program which will provide additional support and treatment to help them avoid relapse.
