  • Drug Overdose Facts
  • Ambien addiction occurs quite easily if the user begins to abuse the drug by taking more of the drug than has been prescribed.
  • Fentanyl is such a powerful drug, that it is sometimes used by the military to rapidly incapacitate an individual or kill them.
  • High concentrations of inhalants in the body may result in death from heart failure or suffocation (inhalants displace oxygen in the lungs).
  • Individuals who extract the fentanyl from a time release patch and consume it all at once are receiving far too much of the drug at one time than was ever legitimately intended.
  • Individuals who abuse alcohol tend to delay getting tested for HIV and if they do test positive, tend to postpone seeking treatment.

Residential Short-Term Treatment that is 30 days or less

Residential short-term treatment for addiction is a variety oftreatment program where the addicted individual will remain at the facility on an inpatient basis, and which normally demands a stay of 30 days or less. While attending residential short-term treatment the client undergoes an intensive but brief course of treatment that commonly includes a supervised detox, counseling, and other forms of therapy which are aimed at helping the individual to recover and be able to function without drugs in daily life once treatment is complete. Residential short-term treatment is not always effective for all cases of addiction, and most will need an aftercare program or further treatment in a more long-term residential setting.
