The Access to Recovery Voucher is a grant program which is federally funded and it gives those people in need of drug or alcohol rehabilitation the services they require. There are fourteen states in the nation and one Tribal organization which are receiving funding to provide substance abuse services to clients through the Access to Recovery Voucher. Potential clients who may be eligible to receive substance abuse services at participating Access to Recovery Voucher drug rehab programs can be assessed by participating providers or agencies and receive a variety of services based on this assessment including outpatient, inpatient and even residential drug or alcohol rehab services.
