There are a wide range of substance abuse treatment services accessible to people in need of addiction help. A lot of substance abuse treatment services are funded through local, state or federal grants or are partially subsidized and may except clients free of charge. Some may even offer a sliding scale fee based off of the person's income and circumstances. Medicaid and Medicare even cover certain substance abuse treatment services, and people can take part in either inpatient and outpatient substance abuse treatment services when covered through these programs. There are both short term and long term substance abuse treatment services, with short term providing treatment for 30 days or less and long term programs lasting anywhere from 90 days to a year depending on the particular program.
