  • Drug Overdose Facts
  • High doses of PCP may induce seizures, coma, and death, though death more often results from accidental injury or suicide during PCP intoxication.
  • Ages 18-24 are the peak years for onset and intensification of the most common mental health problems among youth, including alcohol abuse.
  • Fentanyl has become a recreational drug of choice and individuals who wish to make a significant profit by selling impure fentanyl to unwitting addicts have been responsible for many deaths.
  • Alcohol inhibits the pituitary secretion of anti-diuretic hormone, which can affect urine excretion.
  • Because treatment dropout is a primary concern encountered at drug rehabs, motivational techniques are sometimes used to keep individuals engaged which helps improve treatment outcomes.

Outpatient Treatment

Drug or alcohol rehabilitation programs which are offered on an outpatient basis are available to addicted people who have circumstances which prevent them from being able to participate in an inpatient treatment facility. An outpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility provides many of the same services as an inpatient program, but allows for flexibility as opposed to an inpatient drug or alcohol treatment facility where the individual is required to remain at the treatment program until treatment is complete. Outpatient drug treatment is also available for individuals who have completed residential or inpatient treatment but require a thorough aftercare program which will provide further support and therapy to help them avoid relapse.
