  • Drug Overdose Facts
  • If someone who is dependent to Vicodin stops taking the drug abruptly, either because they decided to quit or through no control of their own, they begin to experience Vicodin withdrawal.
  • Acetaminophen is metabolized solely by the liver, so there is a risk of fatal overdose due to hepatotoxicity when someone takes too much Vicodin.
  • Ecstasy users sometimes combine the drug with other psychedelic drugs such as LSD, psilocybin mushrooms, or even marijuana to get a more psychedelic effect.
  • According to recent data that has been compiled by the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the group that has reported the highest increases in death by drug overdose within the past several years are reported to be white females that are middle-aged.
  • You should never break, chew, or crush the OxyContin tablet since this causes a large amount of oxycodone to be released from the tablet all at once, potentially resulting in a dangerous or fatal OxyContin overdose.

Dui/Dwi Offender Programs

DUI/DWI offenders are typically required to attend a specific number of hours either in counseling, meetings or a substance abuse rehabilitation program. Each state has its own requirements when it comes to retribution for the DUI/DWI offender. Offenders who are regarded as low to moderate DUI/DWI offenders will typically be required to participate in some form of group counseling or therapy. These are sometimes referred to as "Level I & Level II Alcohol Classes". These meetings are usually held by a professional in the field of addiction recovery or a person with long-term sobriety involved in the Alcoholics or Narcotics Anonymous groups. DUI/DWI offenders considered to be serious offenders will likely have to serve jail time at a minimum before beginning their assigned counseling or substance abuse rehab program.
