  • Drug addicted criminal offenders who are left untreated are more likely to return to drug abuse and criminal behavior which typically results in re-arrest and re-incarceration, jeopardizing public health and public safety and taxing criminal justice system resources.
  • Around 3 to 4 percent of American adults, not just individuals with chronic pain are now using opioids.
  • Drug detoxification in drug rehab does not on its own handle any the psychological, social, and behavioral issues that accompany drug or alcohol addiction, and therefore does not produce the lasting changes necessary for full recovery and rehabilitation.
  • Drinking five alcoholic drinks over the course of two hours may raise the blood alcohol level to 0.10 percent, which is considered to be legally intoxicated in every state.

Outpatient Treatment

Drug or alcohol rehabilitation services which are delivered on an outpatient basis are readily available to addicted people who have circumstances which prevent them from being able to participate in an inpatient rehab center. An outpatient drug and alcohol treatment center provides many of the same services as an inpatient program, but allows for flexibility as opposed to an inpatient drug or alcohol rehab program where the person is required to stay and reside at the rehab program until treatment is complete. Outpatient drug treatment is also offered for individuals who have completed residential or inpatient treatment but also need a thorough aftercare and relapse prevention program which will provide further support and treatment to help them remain clean and sober.
