  • A number of fatal fentanyl overdoses have been caused by time-release fentanyl patches which were prescribed to legitimate users for pain; a defect caused the patch to malfunction causing an excessive amount of the drug to leak and become absorbed by patients, resulting in life-threatening side effects and death in some cases.
  • Ecstasy use is associated with overheating and dehydration which may cause the user to over-compensate by consuming large amounts of water while partying which can lead to water toxicity.
  • Dependence to Vicodin will cause users to experience withdrawal symptoms after as few as 5-7 days of continuous use.
  • Fentanyl is a powerful synthetic opiate pain killer which is similar to but 100 times more potent than morphine.

Dui/Dwi Offender Programs

DUI/DWI offenders are usually required to participate in a certain number of hours either in counseling, meetings or a substance abuse rehabilitation program. Each state has its own requirements when it comes to sentencing for the DUI/DWI offender. Offenders who are deemed low to moderate DUI/DWI offenders will typically engage in some form of group counseling or therapy. These are sometimes referred to as "Level I & Level II Alcohol Classes". These group meetings are often held by a professional in the field of addiction recovery or a person with long-term sobriety involved in the Alcoholics or Narcotics Anonymous groups. DUI/DWI offenders considered to be serious offenders will likely have to serve jail time at a minimum before beginning their assigned counseling or alcohol treatment program.
