  • Drug Overdose Facts
  • Hundreds of deaths have been linked to Ecstasy since the 1980s when the drug was first introduced to the recreational drug market.
  • As of 2010 nearly 3 million Americans aged 12 or older reported using an illicit drug for the first time within the past 12 months, which is an average of about 8,100 initiates per day.
  • Bath Salts contain a central nervous system stimulant that causes a wide array of psychological symptoms such as delusions, paranoia, psychosis and hallucinations.
  • Waking up in an emergency room after being treated for a potentially fatal drug overdose can often be the bottom that many addicted individuals need to hit before they are willing to fully commit to a drug rehab program so that they can finally be free from their addiction.
  • Individuals who abuse amphetamines to get high will very likely develop a psychological dependency to these stimulant drugs.

Outpatient Treatment

Drug or alcohol rehabilitation programs which are provided on an outpatient basis are readily available to addicted people who have circumstances which prevent them from being able to participate in an inpatient treatment center. An outpatient substance abuse rehab facility offers many of the same services as an inpatient program, but allows for flexibility as opposed to an inpatient drug or alcohol treatment program where the person is expected to remain at the rehabilitation center until the treatment process has been fully completed. Outpatient drug or alcohol rehabilitation is also offered for individuals who have already gone through residential or inpatient treatment but also need a comprehensive aftercare and relapse prevention program which will provide additional support and therapy to help them avoid relapse.
