  • Drug Overdose Facts
  • The most common adverse effects of a Ritalin overdose may include tachycardia, agitation and lethargy; additionally, convulsions that are followed by a coma have been reported to occur.
  • There is a large body of evidence that indicates that relapse is especially high among detoxified heroin-dependent patients that have received oral naltrexone.
  • Individuals who are high on Ecstasy may take too much of the drug at once as a result of being disoriented and confused which can cause a deadly overdose.
  • GHB is also called Goop, Liquid X, Easy Lay, and Scoop.
  • Many pharmacists in the United States have often dubbed methadone as the "scary pill", because sometimes people do not get the immediate pain relief that they want from this drug, so they take more than they should, which could potentially result in a fatal overdose.

Dui/Dwi Offender Programs

DUI/DWI offenders are usually required to enroll in a certain number of hours either in counseling, meetings or a drug or alcohol treatment program. Each state has its own requirements when it comes to retribution for the DUI/DWI offender. Offenders who are considered to be low to moderate DUI/DWI offenders will typically be required to participate in some form of group counseling or therapy. These group meetings are usually held by a professional in the field of addiction recovery or a person with long-term sobriety involved in the Alcoholics or Narcotics Anonymous groups. DUI/DWI offenders considered to be serious offenders will likely have to serve jail time at a minimum before beginning their mandatory counseling or substance abuse rehabilitation program.
