Outpatient Treatment

Drug rehabilitation services which are delivered on an outpatient basis are readily available to addicted individuals who have circumstances which prevent them from being able to take part in an inpatient rehabilitation center. An outpatient drug rehab facility provides many of the same services as an inpatient program, but allows for flexibility as opposed to an inpatient drug rehab center where the person is required to remain at the treatment program until treatment has been fully completed. Outpatient drug rehab is also available for those who have completed residential or inpatient treatment but also need a thorough aftercare and relapse prevention program which will offer further support and therapy to help them remain clean and sober.

Co-Occurring Mental with Substance Abuse Issues

Persons with co-occurring mental and substance abuse disorders must address both issues in order to recover completely. Some individuals take drugs to alleviate symptoms of mental health problems, and some people take drugs which then, in turn, causes symptoms which are identical to mental health issues, such as anxiety and depression. Addiction treatment professionals know how to differentiate between the two, and can work with clients to properly treat real mental health problems in tandem with any other substance abuse treatment that is done with the person. This has proven to be effective in keeping individuals with mental health issues off of drugs and alcohol and mentally stable and productive.

Self payment drug and alcohol rehab centers are a great alternative to other types of rehabilitation facilities i.e. private medical insurance and state funded programs. Individuals who are capable of attending self payment programs pay for their entire rehab process out of pocket. Keep in mind though, this does not mean that they will not have access to financial assistance if needed. It just means that self payment is their primary method of covering the cost of their drug or alcohol rehab program. To learn more about self payment at a specific program, contact a substance abuse rehabilitation program and ask about their payment options. It is a good idea to contact several facilities so that you have a comparison of your choices regarding rehab options and payment options.

Income Based Payment (Sliding Scale)

Paying for drug or alcohol treatment can be a problem, as all resources have been exhausted because of the persons addiction. Many drug rehab programs recognize this reality which is why many drug and alcohol treatment programs around the country offer payment options known as a sliding scale fee. There are many variables put into the equation of determining what the fee will be from person to person, and these factors are based on individual circumstances such as income, cash on hand, living circumstances, the size of one's family etc. Sliding scale fees have been in use for some time as most drug rehabilitation facilities would prefer to find a way to make it work financially so that those that need addiction help can get the help they need.
