Outpatient Treatment

Drug treatment programs which are delivered on an outpatient basis are readily available to addicted people who have circumstances which prevent them from being able to take part in an inpatient rehabilitation facility. An outpatient drug rehab facility provides many of the same services as an inpatient program, but allows for flexibility as opposed to an inpatient drug or alcohol treatment center where the person is expected to remain at the rehabilitation facility until treatment has been fully completed. Outpatient drug treatment is also available for those who have already gone through residential or inpatient treatment but also need a thorough aftercare program which will offer additional support and therapy to help them remain clean and sober.

Co-Occurring Mental with Substance Abuse Issues

Persons with co-occurring mental and substance abuse disorders must address both issues if there is any hope for them to become fully rehabilitated. Some individuals take drugs to ease symptoms of mental health complications, and some people take drugs which then, in turn, brings about symptoms which are identical to mental health disorders, such as anxiety and depression. Drug rehabilitation professionals know how to distinguish between the two, and can work with clients to appropriately treat real mental health conditions in tandem with any other substance abuse treatment that is done with the person. This has proven to be effective in keeping people with mental health issues off of drugs and alcohol and mentally stable and happy.

Paying for drug rehab can be a problem, because typically all resources have been exhausted due to the persons addiction. Many drug rehab facilities understand this reality which is why many drug rehabilitation facilities around the country offer payment arrangements known as a sliding scale fee. There are several factors put into the equation of determining what the fee will be from person to person, and these factors are based on individual circumstances such as income, cash on hand, living circumstances, the size of one's family etc. Sliding scale fees have been in use for some time as most drug treatment facilities would prefer to find a way to make it work financially so that those that need addiction help can acquire the help they need.

Payment Assistance (based on Facility)

Many drug and alcohol rehab facilities in the United States provide payment assistance to individuals struggling with drug or alcohol addiction and want to get help. The person in need of treatment can choose a treatment program which ideally fits their situation, meaning the treatment curriculum and design of the program would supply them the best results. The addicted individual can then seek advice from one of the treatment professionals at the drug or alcohol rehabilitation facility to discuss what kind of payment assistance options are available or that they qualify for. The financial department in most drug treatment programs are more than willing to work with potential clients to get them started by offering payment assistance, and if this is unavailable, treatment professionals will typically work with the individual to locate an equivalent or comparable rehab program which is more affordable or that can offer workable financing options so that they can get the help they so desperately need.
