Outpatient Treatment

Drug rehabilitation services which are provided on an outpatient basis are readily available to addicted people who have circumstances which prevent them from being able to take part in an inpatient rehab center. An outpatient substance abuse treatment program provides many of the same services as an inpatient program, but allows for flexibility as opposed to an inpatient drug or alcohol rehab facility where the person is expected to stay and reside at the treatment program until the treatment process is complete. Outpatient drug or alcohol treatment is also offered for those who have completed residential or inpatient treatment but also need a thorough aftercare program which will provide further support and therapy to help them avoid relapse.

Specialized in Hearing Impaired Clients

People can become addicted to drugs no matter their handicap, disability or personal physical challenge. This sometimes makes people particularly more vulnerable to becoming involved in substance abuse, because of the various challenges that this can bring about in the person's life. This is true for those people in the deaf and hearing impaired community as well, and treatment for substance abuse and addiction is sometimes required. Deaf or hearing impaired individuals will need ASL or other assistance as part of their treatment needs, and there are drug and alcohol rehab facilities available which provide these services. Professional treatment counselors who know ASL and can offer other necessary assistance to deaf or hearing impaired substance abusers.

Spanish Services

There are more and more Spanish speaking clients walking into drug treatment facilities every day needing help. Because Spanish is such a widespread language in this country, many drug rehabilitation programs are capable of providing treatment to Spanish speaking individuals. Additionally, many counselors and therapists make it a point to learn the language so as to be able to provide the support and therapy needed for Spanish speaking people.

Other Language Programs

Those who speak other languages, other than English that is, should receive substance abuse rehabilitation which is on par with English speakers. Those who speak other languages should not feel that their treatment opportunities are limited or inferior because they don't speak English. There are quite a few drug and alcohol treatment programs available which provide services to those who speak foreign languages, all of which provide a variety of programs to choose from. For example, some drug and alcohol treatment facilities which cater to individuals who speak other languages are only short term rehab facilities, but there are more long term options available. Foreign language speakers can consult with an addiction professional in their area to choose a drug or alcohol rehab facility which would be suitable to their needs.

Self Pay (Out of Pocket)

Self payment drug treatment facilities are a great alternative to other types of rehab centers i.e. private medical insurance and state funded programs. People who are capable of attending self payment programs pay for their entire rehab process out of pocket. Keep in mind though, this does not mean that they will not have access to financial assistance if needed. It just means that self payment is their primary method of covering the cost of their drug rehab program. To learn more about self payment at a specific program, make contact with a drug or alcohol rehabilitation program and inquire as to their payment options. It is a good idea to contact several facilities so that you have a comparison of your choices with regards to rehab options and payment methods.

Medicaid Coverage

Medicaid is a type of health insurance which is offered to people in certain low-income tax brackets. Eligibility for Medicaid depends greatly on income and other circumstances including whether or not the individual has dependents and if they receive any other assistance. Medicaid may even cover the costs associated with drug rehabilitation, and there are many drug treatment programs throughout the country which are covered through Medicaid. Many drug and alcohol treatment facilities which are covered through Medicaid may only provide a limited treatment curriculum and may only provide such treatment on a short term basis, usually 30 days or less. People who have Medicaid should explore which programs cover the greatest amount of treatment for the most amount of time to reap the full benefits of a Medicaid rehab program.

Private or Personal Health Insurance

When an individual is addicted to drugs or alcohol and is looking for help, many effective drug or alcohol rehab programs accept private health insurance. Whereas some outpatient and short term programs accept private health insurance, far more beneficial substance abuse rehab facilities which require an inpatient or residential stay for at least 90 days are also an available option. These programs which accept private health insurance can vary in terms of treatment curriculum, but those individuals who are covered by private health insurance are fortunate enough to have financial assistance when it comes to attending a drug or alcohol rehabilitation program. For additional information, consult with a treatment professional at a drug rehabilitation facility in your area to see which programs your private health insurance will cover.

Income Based Payment (Sliding Scale)

Paying for drug or alcohol rehab can be a problem, because typically all resources have been exhausted due to the persons addiction. Many drug rehab facilities fully grasp this reality which is why many drug rehabilitation facilities across the nation provide payment arrangements known as a sliding scale fee. There are various factors put into the equation of determining what the fee will be from person to person, and these factors are based on individual circumstances such as income, cash on hand, living circumstances, the size of one's family etc. Sliding scale fees have been in use for some time as most drug rehab programs would rather find a way to make it work financially so that those that need addiction help can acquire the help they need.

Payment Assistance (based on Facility)

Many drug and alcohol treatment facilities in the United States offer payment assistance to individuals suffering with drug or alcohol addiction and want to get help. The person in need of treatment can select a treatment facility which is a good fit, meaning the treatment plan and design of the program will offer them the best results. The addicted individual can then seek advice from one of the treatment professionals at the drug or alcohol rehabilitation facility to talk about what kind of payment assistance options are available or that they qualify for. The financial department in most drug rehab programs are more than willing to work with potential clients to get them started by offering payment assistance, and if this is unavailable, treatment professionals will typically work with the individual to locate an equivalent or comparable rehabilitation facility which is more affordable or that can provide workable financing options so that they can acquire the help they so desperately need.
