Hospital Inpatient Programs

Hospital inpatient substance abuse rehabilitation is done in a hospital or similar setting and is supervised by doctors and other medical staff. Hospital inpatient treatment is sometimes necessary in the beginning stages of abstinence when the client may encounter the onset of life threatening withdrawal symptoms, which is sometimes true when quitting alcohol as well as a category of prescription drugs known as benzodiazepines which should be supervised very carefully by medical professionals to minimize ant dangerous health complications. Hospital inpatient treatment is also administered to those who choose to undergo medication assisted withdrawal, as is the case with opiate addicted individuals who wish to use this type of detoxification approach to avoid the severe withdrawal symptoms associated with heroin or other opiate withdrawal. This type of opiate detoxification is not treatment in itself however, and these people will require additional counseling and therapy to completely recover from addiction.

Self payment drug and alcohol rehab programs are an outstanding alternative to other types of rehab programs i.e. private medical insurance and state funded programs. People who are capable of attending self payment programs pay for their entire rehabilitation process out of pocket. Keep in mind though, this does not mean that they will not have access to financial assistance if needed. It just means that self payment is their primary method of covering the cost of their drug or alcohol treatment program. In order to learn more about self payment at a specific program, make contact with a drug rehab facility and inquire as to their payment options. Payment Assistance (based on Facility)

Many substance abuse treatment facilities in the United States provide payment assistance to men and women suffering with drug or alcohol addiction and want to get help. The individual in need of rehabilitation can choose a rehabilitation program which ideally fits their situation, meaning the treatment plan and design of the program will offer them the best results. The addicted individual can then seek advice from one of the treatment professionals at the drug or alcohol rehabilitation center to talk about what kind of payment assistance options are available or that they qualify for. The financial department in most drug rehab centers are more than willing to work with potential clients to get them started by offering payment assistance, and if this is unavailable, treatment professionals will often work with the person to locate an equivalent or comparable rehabilitation program which is more affordable or that can offer workable financing options so that they can get the rehabilitation they so desperately need.
