Outpatient Treatment

Drug or alcohol treatment services which are delivered on an outpatient basis are readily available to addicted individuals who have circumstances which prevent them from being able to participate in an inpatient rehab center. An outpatient substance abuse rehab center provides many of the same services as an inpatient program, but allows for flexibility as opposed to an inpatient drug or alcohol rehab facility where the person is expected to stay and reside at the rehab center until treatment has been fully completed. Outpatient drug or alcohol rehabilitation is also offered for those who have completed residential or inpatient treatment but also need a thorough aftercare and relapse prevention program which will offer additional support and therapy to help them avoid relapse.

Co-Occurring Mental with Substance Abuse Issues

Persons with co-occurring mental and substance abuse disorders must address both issues in order to recover completely. Some individuals take drugs to ease symptoms of mental health problems, and some people take drugs which then, in turn, causes symptoms which are identical to mental health disorders, such as depression and anxiety. Drug treatment professionals know how to differentiate between the two, and can work with clients to properly treat real mental health disorders in tandem with any other substance abuse treatment that is done with the individual. This has proven to be effective in keeping individuals with mental health disorders off of drugs and alcohol and mentally stable and happy.

Criminal Justice Client Programs

Criminal justice clients frequently need drug or alcohol rehabilitation because of their problems with drug and alcohol abuse. Due to the nature of the criminal justice system, there are distinct steps and guidelines that must be performed in order to be admitted into a criminal justice drug or alcohol treatment program or recovery program. The first step is to establish the criminal justice clients eligibility. This step is completed by a panel of officials who determine how much and what type of drug or alcohol is necessary. Sometimes, the criminal justice clients obtain their drug treatment while they are incarcerated. For optimum results, they are encouraged, if not strictly directed, to continue their recovery process once they leave jail and enroll in a sober living home or a therapeutic community.

Those who speak other languages, other than English that is, should receive substance abuse treatment which is on par with English speakers. Speakers of other languages should not feel that their treatment opportunities are limited or inferior because they don't speak English. There are quite a few drug rehabilitation centers available which provide services to those who speak foreign languages, all of which offer various programs to choose from. For example, some drug and alcohol rehabilitation facilities which can treat individuals who speak other languages are only short term rehab facilities, but there are more long term options available. Self Pay (Out of Pocket)

Self payment drug and alcohol rehab centers are an excellent alternative to other types of rehabilitation centers i.e. private medical insurance and state funded programs. Individuals who are capable of attending self payment programs pay for their entire treatment process out of pocket. Keep in mind though, this does not mean that they will not have access to financial assistance if needed. It just means that self payment is their primary method of covering the cost of their drug rehab program. To learn more about self payment at a specific program, contact a drug rehabilitation facility and inquire as to their payment options. It is beneficial to contact several facilities so that you have an understanding of your choices regarding rehab options and payment methods.

Payment Assistance (based on Facility)

Many substance abuse rehabilitation programs in the United States provide payment assistance to people struggling with drug or alcohol addiction and want to get help. The person in need of treatment can choose a rehabilitation program which ideally fits their situation, meaning the treatment plan and design of the program would supply them the best results. The addicted person can then consult with one of the treatment professionals at the drug rehab facility to talk about what kind of payment assistance options are available or that they qualify for. The financial department in most drug rehab facilities are more than willing to work with potential clients to get them started by offering payment assistance, and if this is unavailable, treatment professionals will usually work with the person to locate an equivalent or similar rehabilitation facility which is more affordable or that can offer workable financing options so that they can get the help they so desperately need.
