Outpatient Treatment

Drug or alcohol treatment programs which are offered on an outpatient basis are readily available to addicted people who have circumstances which prevent them from being able to participate in an inpatient rehabilitation facility. An outpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation program delivers many of the same services as an inpatient program, but allows for flexibility as opposed to an inpatient drug rehabilitation facility where the individual is expected to remain at the rehab program until treatment has been fully completed. Outpatient drug or alcohol rehab is also offered for those who have already gone through residential or inpatient treatment but also need a comprehensive aftercare program which will provide further support and therapy to help them remain clean and sober.

Because Spanish is such a widespread language in this country, many drug rehab programs are prepared to deliver services to Spanish speaking individuals. Additionally, many counselors and therapists make it a point to learn the language so as to be able to provide the support and therapy needed for Spanish speaking clients.

Self Pay (Out of Pocket)

Self payment substance abuse rehabilitation centers are an excellent alternative to other types of rehabilitation centers i.e. private medical insurance and state funded programs. Individuals who are capable of attending self payment programs pay for their entire treatment process out of pocket. Keep in mind though, this does not mean that they will not have access to financial assistance if needed. It just means that self payment is their primary method of covering the cost of their drug rehabilitation program. In order to learn more about self payment at a specific program, make contact with a drug treatment facility and inquire as to their payment options. It is beneficial to contact several programs so that you have a comparison of your choices regarding treatment options and payment methods.

Income Based Payment (Sliding Scale)

Paying for drug treatment can be a problem, because typically all resources have been exhausted because of the persons addiction. Many drug rehab facilities recognize this reality which is why many drug and alcohol treatment programs around the country provide payment arrangements known as a sliding scale fee. There are various factors put into the equation of determining what the fee will be from person to person, and these factors are based on individual circumstances such as income, cash on hand, living circumstances, the size of one's family etc. Sliding scale fees have been in use for some time as most drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs would rather find a way to make it work financially so that those suffering with addiction can acquire the help they need.

Payment Assistance (based on Facility)

Many substance abuse rehab programs in the United States provide payment assistance to men and women having difficulties with drug or alcohol addiction and want to get help. The individual in need of treatment can select a rehab program which ideally fits their situation, meaning the treatment plan and design of the program would offer them the best results. The addicted person can then seek advice from one of the treatment professionals at the drug or alcohol rehab program to talk about what kind of payment assistance options are available or that they qualify for. The financial department in most drug rehab centers are more than willing to work with potential clients to get them started by offering payment assistance, and if this is unavailable, treatment professionals will often work with the person to locate an equivalent or similar rehabilitation facility which is more affordable or that can offer workable financing options so that they can receive the rehabilitation they so desperately need.
