Outpatient Treatment

Drug or alcohol treatment programs which are offered on an outpatient basis are readily available to addicted people who have circumstances which prevent them from being able to participate in an inpatient rehabilitation facility. An outpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation program delivers many of the same services as an inpatient program, but allows for flexibility as opposed to an inpatient drug rehabilitation facility where the individual is expected to remain at the rehab program until treatment has been fully completed. Outpatient drug or alcohol rehab is also offered for those who have already gone through residential or inpatient treatment but also need a comprehensive aftercare program which will provide further support and therapy to help them remain clean and sober.

Spanish Services

There increasing numbers of Spanish speaking clients enrolling into drug treatment facilities every day needing help. Because Spanish is such a widespread language in this country, many drug rehab programs are prepared to deliver services to Spanish speaking individuals. Additionally, many counselors and therapists make it a point to learn the language so as to be able to provide the support and therapy needed for Spanish speaking clients.

Other Language Programs

Those who speak other languages, other than English that is, should be able to receive drug or alcohol treatment which is on par with English speakers. Those who speak other languages should not feel that their treatment opportunities are limited or inferior because they don't speak English. There are quite a few substance abuse rehabilitation programs available which cater to those who speak foreign languages, all of which provide a variety of programs to choose from. For example, some drug rehabilitation programs which provide services for those who speak other languages are only short term programs, and others are longer term programs. Foreign language speakers can consult with an addiction professional in their area to choose a drug treatment program which would be suitable to their needs.

Self Pay (Out of Pocket)

Self payment substance abuse rehab centers are a great alternative to other types of treatment programs i.e. private medical insurance and state funded facilities. People who are able to attend self payment programs pay for their entire treatment process out of pocket. Keep in mind though, this does not mean that they will not have access to financial assistance if needed. It just means that self payment is their primary method of covering the cost of their drug treatment program. In order to learn more about self payment at a specific program, contact a drug treatment program and ask about their payment options. It is a good idea to contact several programs so that you have a comparison of your choices with regards to treatment options and payment options.

Medicaid Coverage

Medicaid is a type of health insurance which is made available to people in certain low-income tax brackets. Eligibility for Medicaid depends greatly on income and other circumstances including whether or not the individual has dependents and if they receive any other financial assistance. Medicaid may even cover the costs associated with drug treatment, and there are a lot of drug rehab centers throughout the country which are covered through Medicaid. Most drug and alcohol rehabilitation facilities which are covered through Medicaid may only deliver a limited treatment curriculum and may only supply such treatment on a short term basis, typically 30 days or less. Individuals who have Medicaid should research which programs cover the greatest amount of treatment for the most amount of time to acquire the full rewards of such a program.

Medicare covers both inpatient and outpatient rehab programs, and seniors who are in need of treatment can consult with their primary care physician to choose a rehab program covered by Medicare which would be suitable for them.

Private or Personal Health Insurance

If someone is addicted to drugs or alcohol and is looking for help, many effective drug rehab programs accept private health insurance. Whereas some outpatient and short term programs accept private health insurance, far more beneficial drug or alcohol treatment programs which provide an inpatient or residential stay for at least 90 days are also an available option. These rehab facilities which accept private health insurance can vary in terms of treatment curriculum, but those clients who are covered by private health insurance are fortunate enough to have financial assistance when it comes to paying for a drug rehabilitation facility. For more information, speak with with an addiction specialist at a drug rehab program in your area to find out which services your private health insurance will cover.
