Outpatient Treatment

Drug treatment programs which are offered on an outpatient basis are available to addicted people who have circumstances which prevent them from being able to participate in an inpatient rehab facility. An outpatient drug treatment program offers many of the same services as an inpatient program, but allows for flexibility as opposed to an inpatient drug or alcohol treatment program where the person is expected to stay and reside at the treatment center until the treatment process is complete. Outpatient drug or alcohol treatment is also offered for individuals who have completed residential or inpatient treatment but also need a comprehensive aftercare and relapse prevention program which will offer additional support and treatment to help them avoid relapse.

Spanish Services

There are more and more Spanish speaking clients enrolling into drug treatment facilities every day needing help. Because Spanish is such a common language in this country, many substance abuse rehab facilities are capable of providing services to Spanish speaking individuals. Additionally, many treatment professionals make it a point to learn the language so as to be able to provide the support and therapy needed for Spanish speaking people.

Other Language Programs

Those who speak other languages, other than English that is, should be able to receive substance abuse rehabilitation which is on par with English speakers. Those who speak other languages should not feel that their treatment curriculum or treatment setting is going to be any less effective because they don't speak English. There are many drug and alcohol rehab programs available which provide services to those who speak foreign languages, all of which offer a variety of programs to choose from. For example, some substance abuse rehabilitation programs which cater to people who speak other languages are only short term rehab facilities, but there are more long term options available. Foreign language speakers should consult with an addiction professional in their area to choose a drug rehab program that provides rehabilitation services in their specific language.

Self Pay (Out of Pocket)

Self payment substance abuse treatment facilities are a great alternative to other types of rehab programs i.e. private medical insurance and state funded facilities. People who are capable of attending self payment programs pay for their entire rehabilitation process out of pocket. Keep in mind though, this does not mean that they will not have access to financial assistance if needed. It just means that self payment is their primary method of covering the cost of their drug or alcohol treatment program. In order to learn more about self payment programs, contact a drug treatment program and ask about their payment options. It is beneficial to contact a number of facilities so that you have an understanding of your choices regarding treatment options and payment options.

Medicaid Coverage

Medicaid is a type of health insurance which is accessible to individuals in certain low-income tax brackets. Eligibility for Medicaid is dependent on income and other factors such as whether or not the person has dependents and if they receive any other financial assistance. Medicaid may even cover the costs associated with drug or alcohol rehab, and there are a lot of drug rehabilitation centers throughout the country which are covered through Medicaid. Most drug rehabilitation programs which are covered through Medicaid may only provide a limited treatment curriculum and may only supply such treatment on a short term basis, usually 30 days or less. People who have Medicaid should explore which programs cover the greatest amount of treatment for the most amount of time to reap the full rewards of such a program.

Private or Personal Health Insurance

Whereas some outpatient and short term rehab facilities accept private health insurance, far more beneficial drug treatment centers which offer an inpatient or residential stay for at least 90 days are also an available option. These programs which accept private health insurance can differ in terms of treatment curriculum, but those individuals who are covered by private health insurance are fortunate enough to have financial assistance when it comes to paying for a drug rehabilitation program.
