Outpatient Treatment

Drug or alcohol rehab services which are delivered on an outpatient basis are available to addicted people who have circumstances which prevent them from being able to take part in an inpatient rehabilitation facility. An outpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation center offers many of the same services as an inpatient program, but allows for flexibility as opposed to an inpatient drug rehab center where the person is expected to stay and reside at the rehabilitation facility until the treatment process is complete. Outpatient drug treatment is also offered for those who have already gone through residential or inpatient treatment but also need a comprehensive aftercare program which will provide further support and treatment to help them remain clean and sober.

Other Language Programs

Individuals who speak other languages, other than English that is, should receive substance abuse treatment which is on par with English speakers. Those who speak other languages should not feel that their treatment curriculum or treatment setting is going to be any less effective because they don't speak English. There are quite a few drug and alcohol treatment centers available which cater to those who speak foreign languages, all of which provide a variety of programs to choose from. For example, some drug and alcohol treatment programs which provide services for individuals who speak other languages are only short term programs, and others are longer term programs. Foreign language speakers should consult with an addiction professional in their area to choose a drug treatment program that provides rehabilitation services in their specific language.

Self Pay (Out of Pocket)

Self payment drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs are a great alternative to other types of treatment centers i.e. private medical insurance and state funded programs. People who are able to attend self payment programs pay for their entire treatment process out of pocket. Keep in mind though, this does not mean that they will not have access to financial assistance if needed. It just means that self payment is their primary method of covering the cost of their drug rehab program. In order to learn more about self payment at a specific program, contact a drug rehabilitation program and ask about their payment options. It is beneficial to contact a number of facilities so that you have a comparison of your choices regarding treatment options and payment methods.

State Financed Insurance besides Medicaid

Some people are covered through state financed insurance because they do not qualify for Medicaid. Some states however offer state financed health insurance to those who cannot afford private health insurance plans. State financed health insurance programs will sometimes cover the costs associated with substance abuse treatment at a wide variety of drug and alcohol treatment facilities around the country. State financed insurance other than Medicaid may cover both inpatient or outpatient substance abuse rehabilitation providers. To find out which treatment programs will accept state financed insurance, speak with a substance abuse treatment advisor.

Private or Personal Health Insurance

If someone is addicted to drugs or alcohol and is seeking help, many effective drug rehabilitation facilities accept private health insurance. Whereas some outpatient and short term rehab facilities accept private health insurance, far more beneficial drug rehab facilities which provide an inpatient or residential stay for at least 90 days are also an available option. These rehab facilities which accept private health insurance can vary in terms of treatment curriculum, but those people who are covered by private health insurance are fortunate enough to have financial assistance when it comes to paying for a drug or alcohol rehabilitation facility. For additional information, consult with a treatment professional at a substance abuse rehabilitation program in your area to find out which programs your private health insurance will cover.
