Outpatient Treatment

Drug or alcohol rehab services which are delivered on an outpatient basis are available to addicted people who have circumstances which prevent them from being able to take part in an inpatient rehabilitation facility. An outpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation center offers many of the same services as an inpatient program, but allows for flexibility as opposed to an inpatient drug rehab center where the person is expected to stay and reside at the rehabilitation facility until the treatment process is complete. Outpatient drug treatment is also offered for those who have already gone through residential or inpatient treatment but also need a comprehensive aftercare program which will provide further support and treatment to help them remain clean and sober.

Co-Occurring Mental with Substance Abuse Issues

Persons with co-occurring mental and substance abuse disorders must address both issues if there is any hope for them to become fully rehabilitated. Some individuals take drugs or alcohol to ease symptoms of mental health complications, and some individuals take drugs which then, in turn, creates symptoms which are identical to mental health issues, such as anxiety and depression. Drug rehabilitation professionals know how to distinguish between the two, and can work with clients to appropriately treat real mental health problems in tandem with any other substance abuse treatment that is done with the individual. This has proven to be effective in keeping individuals with mental health problems off of drugs and alcohol and mentally stable and productive.

Criminal Justice Client Programs

Criminal justice clients typically need substance abuse rehabilitation due to problems with drug and alcohol abuse. Due to the nature of the criminal justice system, there are distinct steps and guidelines that must be completed in order to be admitted into a criminal justice substance abuse rehab program or recovery program. The first step is to figure out the criminal justice clients eligibility. This step is accomplished by a panel of officials who decide how much and what type of substance abuse [[[rehabilitation is necessary. Sometimes, the criminal justice clients receive their substance abuse treatment while they are incarcerated. For the best possible results, they are encouraged, if not strictly directed, to continue their recovery process once they leave jail and enroll in a sober living home or a long-term residential transitional living program.

Self Pay (Out of Pocket)

Self payment drug rehabilitation centers are an outstanding alternative to other types of treatment centers i.e. private medical insurance and state funded facilities. People who are capable of attending self payment programs pay for their entire treatment process out of pocket. Keep in mind though, this does not mean that they will not have access to financial assistance if needed. It just means that self payment is their primary method of covering the cost of their drug rehab program. In order to learn more about self payment programs, contact a substance abuse treatment center and ask about their payment options. It is a good idea to contact a number of facilities so that you have a comparison of your choices with regards to treatment options and payment methods.

Medicaid Coverage

Medicaid is a type of health insurance which is offered to individuals in certain low-income tax brackets. Eligibility for Medicaid is dependent on income and other circumstances including whether or not the individual has dependents and if they receive any other financial assistance. Medicaid may even cover the costs associated with drug or alcohol rehabilitation, and there are a lot of drug and alcohol rehab facilities throughout the country which are covered through Medicaid. Many drug treatment programs which are covered through Medicaid may only deliver a limited treatment curriculum and may only supply such treatment on a short term basis, typically 30 days or less. People who have Medicaid should explore which programs cover the greatest amount of treatment for the most amount of time to acquire the full rewards of such a program.

Private or Personal Health Insurance

When an individual is addicted to drugs or alcohol and is looking for help, many effective substance abuse rehabilitation facilities accept private health insurance. Whereas some outpatient and short term programs accept private health insurance, far more effective drug rehab programs which offer an inpatient or residential stay for at least 90 days are also an available option. These treatment programs which accept private health insurance can differ in terms of treatment curriculum, but those individuals who are covered by private health insurance are fortunate enough to have financial assistance when it comes to paying for a drug or alcohol rehab program. Payment Assistance (based on Facility)

Many drug and alcohol rehab facilities in the United States offer payment assistance to individuals suffering with drug or alcohol addiction and want to get help. The person in need of rehabilitation can choose a rehabilitation facility which is a good fit, meaning the treatment plan and design of the program would provide them the best results. The addicted individual can then seek advice from one of the treatment professionals at the drug rehabilitation center to talk about what kind of payment assistance options are available or that they qualify for. The financial department in most drug rehab programs are more than willing to work with potential clients to get them started by offering payment assistance, and if this is unavailable, treatment professionals will often work with the person to find an equivalent or similar rehab facility which is more affordable or that can provide workable financing options so that they can get the help they so desperately need.
