Outpatient Treatment

Drug or alcohol rehabilitation services which are delivered on an outpatient basis are readily available to addicted individuals who have circumstances which prevent them from being able to participate in an inpatient treatment program. An outpatient drug and alcohol rehab center offers many of the same services as an inpatient program, but allows for flexibility as opposed to an inpatient drug or alcohol treatment program where the person is required to stay and reside at the rehabilitation center until treatment has been fully completed. Outpatient drug or alcohol rehabilitation is also offered for individuals who have already gone through residential or inpatient treatment but also need a thorough aftercare and relapse prevention program which will provide further support and therapy to help them remain clean and sober.

Self Pay (Out of Pocket)

Self payment drug rehabilitation centers are an excellent alternative to other types of rehabilitation centers i.e. private medical insurance and state funded facilities. Individuals who are capable of attending self payment programs pay for their entire treatment process out of pocket. Keep in mind though, this does not mean that they will not have access to financial assistance if needed. It just means that self payment is their primary method of covering the cost of their drug or alcohol rehabilitation program. In order to learn more about self payment at a specific program, contact a drug rehabilitation center and ask about their payment options. It is beneficial to contact a number of facilities so that you have an understanding of your choices with regards to rehab options and payment options.

Medicaid Coverage

Medicaid is a type of health insurance which is accessible to individuals in certain low-income tax brackets. Eligibility for Medicaid depends greatly on income and other circumstances including whether or not the individual has dependents and if they receive any other assistance. Medicaid may possibly even cover the costs associated with drug or alcohol rehab, and there are many drug and alcohol rehab programs throughout the country which are covered through Medicaid. Most drug and alcohol rehab facilities which are covered through Medicaid may only provide a limited treatment curriculum and may only deliver such treatment on a short term basis, usually 30 days or less. People who have Medicaid should research which programs cover the greatest amount of treatment for the most amount of time to acquire the full benefits of a Medicaid rehab program.

Payment Assistance (based on Facility)

Many substance abuse rehabilitation centers in the United States provide payment assistance to men and women having difficulties with drug or alcohol addiction and want to get help. The individual in need of treatment can select a rehab program which is a good fit, meaning the treatment curriculum and design of the program would provide them the best results. The addicted individual can then consult with one of the treatment professionals at the drug or alcohol treatment program to discuss what kind of payment assistance options are available or that they qualify for. The financial department in most drug and alcohol rehab facilities are more than willing to work with potential clients to get them started by offering payment assistance, and if this is unavailable, treatment professionals will often work with the individual to locate an equivalent or similar rehabilitation program which is more affordable or that can provide workable financing options so that they can receive the help they so desperately need.
