Outpatient Treatment

Drug or alcohol rehabilitation services which are delivered on an outpatient basis are readily available to addicted individuals who have circumstances which prevent them from being able to participate in an inpatient treatment program. An outpatient drug and alcohol rehab center offers many of the same services as an inpatient program, but allows for flexibility as opposed to an inpatient drug or alcohol treatment program where the person is required to stay and reside at the rehabilitation center until treatment has been fully completed. Outpatient drug or alcohol rehabilitation is also offered for individuals who have already gone through residential or inpatient treatment but also need a thorough aftercare and relapse prevention program which will provide further support and therapy to help them remain clean and sober.

Self payment drug and alcohol rehab centers are an outstanding alternative to other types of rehabilitation centers i.e. private medical insurance and state funded facilities. Individuals who are able to attend self payment programs pay for their entire treatment process out of pocket. Medicaid Coverage

Medicaid is a type of health insurance which is offered to individuals in certain low-income tax brackets. Eligibility for Medicaid depends greatly on income and other circumstances such as whether or not the person has dependents and if they receive any other financial assistance. Medicaid may possibly even cover the costs associated with drug or alcohol rehab, and there are a lot of drug rehab facilities throughout the country which are covered through Medicaid. Many drug rehabilitation facilities which are covered through Medicaid may only deliver a limited treatment curriculum and may only deliver such treatment on a short term basis, usually 30 days or less. Individuals who have Medicaid should explore which programs cover the greatest amount of treatment for the most amount of time to acquire the full rewards of a Medicaid rehab program.

Private or Personal Health Insurance

If a person is addicted to drugs or alcohol and is looking for help, many effective drug rehab facilities accept private health insurance. Whereas some outpatient and short term rehab facilities accept private health insurance, far more effective drug treatment facilities which provide an inpatient or residential stay for at least 90 days are also an available option. These programs which accept private health insurance can vary in terms of treatment curriculum, but those clients who are covered by private health insurance are fortunate enough to have financial assistance when it comes to attending a drug or alcohol treatment facility. Income Based Payment (Sliding Scale)

Paying for drug or alcohol treatment can be a challenge, as all resources have been exhausted because of their addiction. Many drug rehab facilities understand this reality which is why many drug rehabilitation programs around the country provide payment options known as a sliding scale fee. There are various variables put into the equation of determining what the fee will be from person to person, and these factors are based on individual circumstances such as income, cash on hand, living circumstances, the size of one's family etc. Sliding scale fees have been in use for some time as most drug and alcohol treatment programs would prefer to find a way to make it work financially so that those suffering with addiction can acquire the help they need.

Payment Assistance (based on Facility)

Many substance abuse rehab centers in the United States offer payment assistance to individuals having difficulties with drug or alcohol addiction and want to get help. The person in need of rehabilitation can select a rehabilitation program which is a good fit, meaning the treatment curriculum and design of the program would offer them the best results. The addicted individual can then seek advice from one of the treatment professionals at the drug treatment center to talk about what kind of payment assistance options are available or that they qualify for. The financial department in most drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs are more than willing to work with potential clients to get them started by offering payment assistance, and if this is unavailable, treatment professionals will often work with the person to find an equivalent or comparable rehabilitation program which is more affordable or that can provide workable financing options so that they can get the rehabilitation they so desperately need.
