Outpatient Treatment

Drug or alcohol treatment services which are provided on an outpatient basis are available to addicted individuals who have circumstances which prevent them from being able to take part in an inpatient treatment program. An outpatient drug and alcohol treatment center offers many of the same services as an inpatient program, but allows for flexibility as opposed to an inpatient drug treatment center where the person is required to remain at the rehabilitation center until treatment has been fully completed. Outpatient drug or alcohol rehab is also available for those who have completed residential or inpatient treatment but require a thorough aftercare program which will provide additional support and therapy to help them avoid relapse.

Other Language Programs

People who speak other languages, other than English that is, should be able to receive substance abuse treatment which is on par with English speakers. Speakers of other languages should not feel that their treatment opportunities are limited or inferior because they don't speak English. There are quite a few substance abuse rehab centers available which cater to those who speak foreign languages, all of which offer various programs to choose from. For example, some substance abuse treatment programs which can treat individuals who speak other languages are only short term rehab facilities, but there are more long term options available. Foreign language speakers can seek the advice from an addiction professional in their area to choose a drug or alcohol treatment program which would be suitable to their needs.

Self Pay (Out of Pocket)

Self payment drug and alcohol rehab centers are a great alternative to other types of rehabilitation facilities i.e. private medical insurance and state funded programs. Individuals who are capable of attending self payment programs pay for their entire treatment process out of pocket. Keep in mind though, this does not mean that they will not have access to financial assistance if needed. It just means that self payment is their primary method of covering the cost of their substance abuse treatment program. In order to learn more about self payment at a specific program, make contact with a drug or alcohol treatment facility and ask about their payment options. It is a good idea to contact a number of programs so that you have a comparison of your choices with regards to rehab options and payment methods.

Private or Personal Health Insurance

When somebody is addicted to drugs or alcohol and is looking for help, there are many effective drug or alcohol treatment facilities accept private health insurance. Whereas some outpatient and short term programs accept private health insurance, far more beneficial drug treatment facilities which provide an inpatient or residential stay for at least 90 days are also an available option. These rehab facilities which accept private health insurance can vary in terms of treatment curriculum, but those clients who are covered by private health insurance are fortunate enough to have financial assistance when it comes to paying for a drug or alcohol rehabilitation facility. For additional information, consult with an addiction specialist at a drug treatment program in your area to see which programs your private health insurance will cover.
