An outpatient substance abuse rehab program offers many of the same services as an inpatient program, but allows for flexibility as opposed to an inpatient drug rehabilitation center where the person is required to stay and reside at the rehabilitation center until treatment is complete. Outpatient drug or alcohol rehabilitation is also offered for those who have already gone through residential or inpatient treatment but require a comprehensive aftercare program which will offer additional support and treatment to help them avoid relapse.

Co-Occurring Mental with Substance Abuse Issues

Persons with co-occurring mental and substance abuse disorders must handle both issues if there is any hope for them to become fully rehabilitated. Some people take drugs or alcohol to ease symptoms of mental health disorders, and some individuals take drugs which then, in turn, brings about symptoms which mimic mental health problems, such as anxiety and depression. Addiction rehabilitation professionals know how to differentiate between the two, and can work with clients to correctly treat real mental health conditions in tandem with any other substance abuse treatment that is done with the person. This has proven to be effective in keeping individuals with mental health issues off of drugs and mentally stable and healthy.

Medicaid is a type of health insurance which is made available to people in certain low-income tax brackets. Eligibility for Medicaid is dependent on income and other factors such as whether or not the person has dependents and if they receive any other financial assistance. Private or Personal Health Insurance

When somebody is abusing drugs or alcohol and is seeking help, many effective drug or alcohol rehabilitation programs accept private health insurance. Whereas some outpatient and short term rehab facilities accept private health insurance, far more effective drug or alcohol treatment centers which offer an inpatient or residential stay for at least 90 days are also an available option. These treatment programs which accept private health insurance can vary in terms of treatment curriculum, but those clients who are covered by private health insurance are fortunate enough to have financial assistance when it comes to paying for a drug rehabilitation facility.
