Outpatient Treatment

Drug treatment services which are provided on an outpatient basis are available to addicted people who have circumstances which prevent them from being able to participate in an inpatient rehabilitation program. An outpatient substance abuse treatment program offers many of the same services as an inpatient program, but allows for flexibility as opposed to an inpatient drug rehab program where the person is required to remain at the treatment program until the treatment process is complete. Outpatient drug rehabilitation is also available for those who have completed residential or inpatient treatment but require a thorough aftercare and relapse prevention program which will provide further support and therapy to help them remain clean and sober.

Spanish Services

There are more and more Spanish speaking clients walking into substance abuse rehab centers every day needing help. Because Spanish is such a common language in this country, many substance abuse treatment facilities are capable of providing treatment to Spanish speaking people. Additionally, many counselors and therapists make it a point to learn the language so as to be able to provide the treatment and care needed for Spanish speaking people.

Other Language Programs

Individuals who speak other languages, other than English that is, should be able to receive substance abuse rehabilitation which is on par with English speakers. Those who speak other languages should not feel that their treatment opportunities are limited or inferior because they don't speak English. There are many drug and alcohol treatment programs available which cater to those who speak foreign languages, all of which offer a selection of programs to choose from. For example, some substance abuse treatment facilities which can treat individuals who speak other languages are only short term programs, but there are more long term options available. Foreign language speakers can seek the advice from an addiction professional in their area to choose a drug or alcohol treatment program that provides rehabilitation services in their specific language.

Self Pay (Out of Pocket)

Self payment drug and alcohol rehab centers are a great alternative to other types of treatment centers i.e. private medical insurance and state funded programs. Individuals who are capable of attending self payment programs pay for their entire rehab process out of pocket. Keep in mind though, this does not mean that they will not have access to financial assistance if needed. It just means that self payment is their primary method of covering the cost of their substance abuse rehabilitation program. In order to learn more about self payment at a specific program, make contact with a substance abuse rehabilitation program and ask about their payment options. It is a good idea to contact several facilities so that you have a comparison of your choices regarding treatment options and payment methods.

Medicaid Coverage

Medicaid is a type of health insurance which is offered to people in certain low-income tax brackets. Eligibility for Medicaid depends greatly on income and other circumstances such as whether or not the individual has dependents and if they receive any other assistance. Medicaid may possibly even cover the costs associated with drug or alcohol treatment, and there are many drug rehabilitation programs throughout the country which are covered through Medicaid. Many drug rehab programs which are covered through Medicaid may only deliver a limited treatment curriculum and may only supply such treatment on a short term basis, typically 30 days or less. People who have Medicaid should look for which programs cover the greatest amount of treatment for the most amount of time to acquire the full rewards of such a program.

State Financed Insurance besides Medicaid

Some people are covered through state financed insurance because they fail to qualify for Medicaid. Some states however offer affordable health insurance to those individuals who cannot afford private health insurance plans. State financed health insurance programs will sometimes cover the costs associated with substance abuse treatment at a variety of drug and alcohol treatment programs around the country. State financed insurance other than Medicaid may cover both outpatient or inpatient drug rehab providers. To find out which treatment facilities will accept state financed insurance, consult a drug treatment advisor.

Payment Assistance (based on Facility)

Many drug and alcohol treatment facilities in the United States provide payment assistance to individuals struggling with drug or alcohol addiction and want to get help. The person in need of treatment can choose a treatment facility which ideally fits their situation, meaning the treatment curriculum and design of the program will supply them the best results. The addicted individual can then consult with one of the treatment professionals at the drug or alcohol rehab center to discuss what kind of payment assistance options are available or that they qualify for. The financial department in most drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers are more than willing to work with potential clients to get them started by offering payment assistance, and if this is unavailable, treatment professionals will usually work with the individual to find an equivalent or comparable treatment program which is more affordable or that can offer workable financing options so that they can get the help they so desperately need.
