Outpatient Treatment

Drug or alcohol rehab services which are offered on an outpatient basis are readily available to addicted individuals who have circumstances which prevent them from being able to participate in an inpatient treatment facility. An outpatient drug and alcohol treatment center delivers many of the same services as an inpatient program, but allows for flexibility as opposed to an inpatient drug treatment program where the person is required to stay and reside at the treatment facility until treatment has been fully completed. Outpatient drug rehab is also offered for those who have already gone through residential or inpatient treatment but also need a comprehensive aftercare program which will offer further support and treatment to help them avoid relapse.

Co-Occurring Mental with Substance Abuse Issues

Persons with co-occurring mental and substance abuse disorders must address both issues if there is any hope for them to recover completely. Some individuals take drugs or alcohol to alleviate symptoms of mental health disorders, and some people take drugs which then, in turn, brings about symptoms which are identical to mental health issues, such as anxiety and depression. Addiction rehabilitation professionals know how to differentiate between the two, and can work with clients to correctly treat real mental health disorders in tandem with any other substance abuse treatment that is done with the individual. This has proven to be effective in keeping people with mental health issues off of drugs and alcohol and mentally stable and healthy.

Spanish Services

There are more and more Spanish speaking clients walking into drug and alcohol treatment centers every day needing help. Because Spanish is such a common language in this country, many drug rehabilitation programs are capable of providing services to Spanish speaking clients. Additionally, many treatment professionals make it a point to learn the language so as to be able to provide the support and care needed for Spanish speaking people.

Other Language Programs

People who speak other languages, other than English that is, should receive drug or alcohol rehabilitation which is on par with English speakers. Speakers of other languages should not feel that their treatment opportunities are limited or inferior because they don't speak English. There are quite a few drug and alcohol treatment programs available which provide services to those who speak foreign languages, all of which provide a selection of programs to choose from. For example, some drug and alcohol treatment programs which provide services for those who speak other languages are only short term rehab facilities, but there are more long term options available. Foreign language speakers can consult with a treatment professional in their area to choose a drug or alcohol rehab facility which would be suitable to their needs.

Self Pay (Out of Pocket)

Self payment drug rehabilitation centers are a great alternative to other types of treatment programs i.e. private medical insurance and state funded facilities. People who are capable of attending self payment programs pay for their entire rehab process out of pocket. Keep in mind though, this does not mean that they will not have access to financial assistance if needed. It just means that self payment is their primary method of covering the cost of their substance abuse treatment program. To learn more about self payment programs, make contact with a drug treatment program and inquire as to their payment options. It is beneficial to contact a number of programs so that you have an understanding of your choices with regards to treatment options and payment methods.

Medicaid Coverage

Medicaid is a type of health insurance which is accessible to people in certain low-income tax brackets. Eligibility for Medicaid is dependent on income and other factors including whether or not the person has dependents and if they receive any other financial assistance. Medicaid may even cover the costs associated with drug treatment, and there are a lot of drug rehabilitation facilities throughout the country which are covered through Medicaid. Many drug treatment facilities which are covered through Medicaid may only deliver a limited treatment curriculum and may only deliver such treatment on a short term basis, typically 30 days or less. Individuals who have Medicaid should look for which programs cover the greatest amount of treatment for the most amount of time to acquire the full rewards of a Medicaid rehab program.

State Financed Insurance besides Medicaid

Some people are covered through state financed insurance because they fail to qualify for Medicaid. Some states however offer state financed health insurance to those who cannot afford private health insurance. State financed health insurance programs will sometimes cover the costs associated with substance abuse treatment at a variety of drug and alcohol rehab facilities around the country. State financed insurance other than Medicaid may cover both outpatient or inpatient drug treatment services. To find out which rehabilitation programs will accept state financed insurance, speak with a drug and alcohol treatment professional.

Private or Personal Health Insurance

If a person is abusing drugs or alcohol and is seeking help, there are many effective drug or alcohol treatment facilities accept private health insurance. Whereas some outpatient and short term rehab facilities accept private health insurance, far more beneficial substance abuse treatment facilities which provide an inpatient or residential stay for at least 90 days are also an available option. These programs which accept private health insurance can vary in terms of treatment curriculum, but those individuals who are covered by private health insurance are fortunate enough to have financial assistance when it comes to paying for a drug treatment facility. For more information, speak with with an addiction specialist at a substance abuse treatment facility in your area to find out which services your private health insurance will cover.
