Outpatient Treatment

Drug or alcohol rehabilitation services which are delivered on an outpatient basis are available to addicted people who have circumstances which prevent them from being able to participate in an inpatient rehabilitation center. An outpatient substance abuse treatment facility delivers many of the same services as an inpatient program, but allows for flexibility as opposed to an inpatient drug or alcohol treatment facility where the person is required to stay and reside at the rehab center until the treatment process is complete. Outpatient drug rehabilitation is also available for those who have completed residential or inpatient treatment but also need a thorough aftercare and relapse prevention program which will offer additional support and therapy to help them avoid relapse.

Spanish Services

There are more and more Spanish speaking clients enrolling into substance abuse treatment centers every day needing help. Because Spanish is such a common language in this country, many drug and alcohol rehabilitation facilities are prepared to deliver treatment services to Spanish speaking people. Additionally, many treatment professionals make it a point to learn the language so as to be able to provide the treatment and therapy needed for Spanish speaking clients.

Self Pay (Out of Pocket)

Self payment drug and alcohol treatment centers are an excellent alternative to other types of treatment centers i.e. private medical insurance and state funded programs. People who are capable of attending self payment programs pay for their entire rehabilitation process out of pocket. Keep in mind though, this does not mean that they will not have access to financial assistance if needed. It just means that self payment is their primary method of covering the cost of their drug treatment program. To learn more about self payment programs, make contact with a drug or alcohol rehabilitation facility and ask about their payment options. It is beneficial to contact several programs so that you have a comparison of your choices with regards to treatment options and payment options.

Medicaid Coverage

Medicaid is a type of health insurance which is made available to individuals in certain low-income tax brackets. Eligibility for Medicaid depends greatly on income and other circumstances such as whether or not the person has dependents and if they receive any other assistance. Medicaid may possibly even cover the costs associated with drug treatment, and there are many drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs throughout the country which are covered through Medicaid. Many drug and alcohol rehabilitation facilities which are covered through Medicaid may only deliver a limited treatment curriculum and may only provide such treatment on a short term basis, typically 30 days or less. Individuals who have Medicaid should explore which programs cover the greatest amount of treatment for the most amount of time to acquire the full rewards of a Medicaid rehab program.

Private or Personal Health Insurance

If someone is abusing drugs or alcohol and is looking for help, many effective substance abuse rehab programs accept private health insurance. Whereas some outpatient and short term rehab facilities accept private health insurance, far more effective substance abuse rehab programs which require an inpatient or residential stay for at least 90 days are also an available option. These programs which accept private health insurance can differ in terms of treatment curriculum, but those people who are covered by private health insurance are fortunate enough to have financial assistance when it comes to paying for a drug rehab program. For more information, consult with a treatment professional at a drug or alcohol rehabilitation program in your area to find out which services your private health insurance will cover.

Income Based Payment (Sliding Scale)

Paying for drug or alcohol rehabilitation can be a challenge, because typically all resources have been exhausted because of their drug habit. Many drug rehab programs fully grasp this fact which is why many drug and alcohol rehab programs across the nation offer payment arrangements known as a sliding scale fee. There are various variables put into the equation of determining what the fee will be from person to person, and these factors are based on individual circumstances such as income, cash on hand, living circumstances, the size of one's family etc. Sliding scale fees have been in use for some time as most drug rehab facilities would rather find a way to make it work financially so that those suffering with addiction can acquire the help they need.

Payment Assistance (based on Facility)

Many substance abuse rehabilitation centers in the United States offer payment assistance to people having difficulties with drug or alcohol addiction and want to get help. The individual in need of rehabilitation can choose a treatment facility which ideally fits their situation, meaning the treatment curriculum and design of the program will supply them the best results. The addicted person can then talk to one of the treatment professionals at the drug rehabilitation center to discuss what kind of payment assistance options are available or that they qualify for. The financial department in most drug rehabilitation facilities are more than willing to work with potential clients to get them started by offering payment assistance, and if this is unavailable, treatment professionals will typically work with the person to locate an equivalent or similar rehab facility which is more affordable or that can offer workable financing options so that they can receive the rehabilitation they so desperately need.
