Outpatient Treatment

Drug or alcohol treatment services which are offered on an outpatient basis are available to addicted people who have circumstances which prevent them from being able to participate in an inpatient treatment program. An outpatient drug treatment facility delivers many of the same services as an inpatient program, but allows for flexibility as opposed to an inpatient drug or alcohol rehabilitation facility where the person is expected to remain at the rehabilitation center until treatment is complete. Outpatient drug or alcohol treatment is also available for individuals who have completed residential or inpatient treatment but require a comprehensive aftercare program which will provide additional support and therapy to help them avoid relapse.

Specialized in Hearing Impaired Clients

People can become addicted to drugs or alcohol no matter their handicap, disability or personal physical challenge. This sometimes makes individuals particularly more vulnerable to becoming involved in substance abuse, because of the difficult challenges that this can bring about in the individual's life. This is true for individuals in the deaf and hearing impaired community as well, and treatment for substance abuse and addiction is sometimes required. Deaf or hearing impaired individuals will require ASL or other assistance as part of their treatment needs, and there are drug and alcohol treatment programs available which cater to these needs. Professional treatment counselors who know ASL and can offer other necessary assistance to deaf or hearing impaired substance abusers.

Spanish Services

There are more and more Spanish speaking clients enrolling into drug and alcohol rehab centers every day needing help. Because Spanish is such a common language in this country, many drug treatment programs are capable of providing treatment services to Spanish speaking people. Additionally, many treatment professionals make it a point to learn the language so as to be able to provide the support and care needed for Spanish speaking clients.

Self Pay (Out of Pocket)

Self payment drug and alcohol rehab centers are an excellent alternative to other types of treatment programs i.e. private medical insurance and state funded programs. People who are capable of attending self payment programs pay for their entire treatment process out of pocket. Keep in mind though, this does not mean that they will not have access to financial assistance if needed. It just means that self payment is their primary method of covering the cost of their drug rehabilitation program. To learn more about self payment at a specific program, contact a substance abuse rehabilitation center and ask about their payment options. It is beneficial to contact a number of facilities so that you have an understanding of your choices regarding treatment options and payment methods.

Medicaid Coverage

Medicaid is a type of health insurance which is made available to people in certain low-income tax brackets. Eligibility for Medicaid is dependent on income and other factors such as whether or not the individual has dependents and if they receive any other financial assistance. Medicaid may even cover the costs associated with drug rehab, and there are a lot of drug and alcohol rehab programs throughout the country which are covered through Medicaid. Most drug and alcohol treatment facilities which are covered through Medicaid may only provide a limited treatment curriculum and may only provide such treatment on a short term basis, typically 30 days or less. Individuals who have Medicaid should look for which programs cover the greatest amount of treatment for the most amount of time to reap the full rewards of a Medicaid rehab program.

Medicare Coverage

Drug addiction and alcoholism affects many older Americans and seniors, and this problem is projected to only worsen in the coming years. Seniors who are covered by Medicare, an insurance plan funded through the federal government for Americans in this age bracket, can use their benefits to receive vital treatment services for substance abuse at a wide variety of drug and alcohol rehab programs around the country. Medicare covers both inpatient and outpatient treatment facilities, and seniors who are in need of help can consult with their primary care physician to choose a treatment program covered by Medicare which would be suitable for them.

Private or Personal Health Insurance

If somebody is abusing drugs or alcohol and is looking for help, many effective drug or alcohol rehab programs accept private health insurance. Whereas some outpatient and short term rehab facilities accept private health insurance, far more effective drug treatment programs which offer an inpatient or residential stay for at least 90 days are also an available option. These rehab facilities which accept private health insurance can vary in terms of treatment curriculum, but those clients who are covered by private health insurance are fortunate enough to have financial assistance when it comes to attending a drug treatment facility. For more information, speak with with a treatment professional at a substance abuse rehab center in your area to see which services your private health insurance will cover.
