  • Appropriate doses for wet magic mushrooms are about 10 times higher than typical dry doses (10-50 grams).
  • When an individual is experiencing a drug overdose, observers should stay with the individual and help them to remain calm by moving them to a quiet area; if the individual suffering from a drug overdose is unconscious, they should be placed in a recovery position while emergency medical help is summoned.
  • Detoxification is the first step of drug rehab, and is the process by which the body clears itself of drug residuals.
  • Because freebase cocaine is resistant to destruction by heat, it can be smoked using cigarettes, including marijuana cigarettes, or in "coke pipes."
  • Alcohol depresses body functions that play a key role in involuntary actions such as breathing and the gag reflex which prevents choking. A fatal dose of alcohol will eventually stop these functions.

Dui/Dwi Offender Programs

DUI/DWI offenders are often required to participate in a certain number of hours either in counseling, meetings or a substance abuse rehabilitation program. Each state has its own requirements when it comes to retribution for the DUI/DWI offender. Offenders who are considered to be low to moderate DUI/DWI offenders will typically engage in some form of group counseling or therapy. These are sometimes referred to as "Level I & Level II Alcohol Classes". These group meetings are typically held by a professional in the field of addiction recovery or a person with long-term sobriety involved in the Alcoholics or Narcotics Anonymous groups. DUI/DWI offenders deemed to be serious offenders will likely have to serve jail time at a minimum before beginning their assigned counseling or substance abuse treatment program.
